1. INTRODUCTION Flexi security is a relatively new concept, occurred after 2000, by launching this concept beyond the scope of flexibility and security and today under the pressure of on-going challenges (technological change and technical process, globalization, aging population); the two dimensions are not incompatible. They are synergistic, influence each other in development. In Romania, especially at the level of local communities there is little information about flexi security, although the employer is concerned with meeting the need for flexibility to ensure at the enterprise level an adequate flow of personnel related to the technological processes carried out. In turn, the employee in the development of skills to create and use knowledge to adapt to new working practices, needs security. In this context, we conducted a study starting from the exploratory premise that flexi security policies can be implemented in four components established by the European Commission: flexible contractual agreements and reliable strategies for lifelong learning, active market labour efficient policies and modern social security systems. We found that lifelong learning is the main component that ensures synergy between flexibility and security.
